VP Broadcasting, LLC, in Allentown, Pennsylvania, is seeking one (1) full-time Video Production Director.

 

Job Duties:

  • Capture audio and video and edit multimedia packages for TV and web.
  • Produce or direct public affairs, weather, and other local TV programs.
  • Produce and post video projects to the web.
  • Collaborate with staff on various news, public affairs, and marketing projects.
  • Meet deadlines and uphold professional journalistic standards.
  • Shoot video and record audio using a variety of equipment including studio cameras, camcorders, and handheld video cameras.
  • Produce rough cuts, graphic design & integration, audio sweetening, color correction and deliver final projects for TV and web.
  • Serve in a variety of roles as member of studio production crew.
  • Help coach editorial staff in basics of video production.
  • Produce various news, public affairs and election programs for TV and web.
  • Produce various types of promos and underwriting messages.
  • Participate in programming discussions with staff, concept development, and storyboarding.
  • Must be professionally fluent in Spanish, given that this is a Spanish language station.

 

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT: A minimum of two years’ experience in video production, video editing, video design, or related field is required for entry into the position. 

 

travel requirement: Travel is required for on assignment projects in Berks, Bucks, Lehigh, Monroe, Montgomery, Northampton, and Philadelphia, PA counties. Travel is limited to on site video assignments for developing news stories or public interest stories for television. Travel throughout the noted counties encompass about 20% of the projects, with half, or 10% in Lehigh and Northampton, PA counties, and the remaining 10% in Berks, Bucks, Monroe, Montgomery, and Philadelphia, PA counties.
